EUDR - EU Deforestation Regulation
We would like to update you about our ongoing efforts to ensure timely compliance with the European Union's Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 (EUDR) on wood processing regarding our paper and paper products.
We started the due diligence process with our paper suppliers, who are gathering information on the species, license of harvesting and compliance with the local law and, where necessary, taking measures to mitigate the risk. Based on Country Classification List published in May by the European Commission; our Suppliers do not envisage any problems in the positive outcome of such process by the date of application of the Regulation.
They are receiving frequent updates from pulp suppliers regarding the status of their internal process in the implementation of the EUDR regulation. They are informing us that they will start to apply the procedure between October and December 2025, so full compliance with the regulation will only be possible as of 31st December 2025.
Our paper suppliers are working to meet the standard requested by the Regulation. Following EUDR requirements they will incorporate the “reference numbers” and the “verification numbers” of products to accompanying sales documents to allow direct access to the information and proper check on EU Traces system.
The European Commission is constantly providing additional information and details regarding the implementation of the system, trying to cover the remaining pending issues on this matter.
Please note: 100% recycled paper is exempt from EUDR
Thank you for your trust and support during this transitional period.
